i just want to go one day without racism
-i want to be able to go to school and not hear racist things being said by fellow students, not be asked what race i am, told what race i am, or told that racism doesn’t exist
-i want to be able to “come out” as half white and not have that as an excuse for white people to tell me racist jokes/confessions
-i want to be able to look on tumblr at pictures of adorable cats without seeing someone say something horrible and racist, either overtly or subtly
-i want to be able to walk down the street and not be called a nigger, gook, or beaner
-i want to be able to wear a sari, kurta, ornah, chori or salwar without someone touching me without permission
-i want to have one day when i’m not seeing drawings/photos of white people dressing up in “costumes” of either my kind of indian or my husband’s kind of indian, both at school and online
-if i have to deal with all of this shit every day, i would at least like to be able to talk about it online and at school without people telling me i’m wrong, have no idea what i’m talking about, that racism is over, and/or that they’re not racist, i’m racist
-i want to be free to be the race that i am without being shamed, put down, ostracised, exoticised, alienated, or dimissed.
-i want to be acknowledged as the human being i am, the same courtesy i give every body fucking else.
-i just want one day, please

i need to just never use the damn internet is what i need
